Opportunity
We are
seeking a passionate and committed leader for the role of Executive
Director People and Culture at the North Metropolitan Health
Service (NMHS)
This role
will suit a leader who can navigate complexity, lead through change
and work closely with executive peers to deliver strong workforce
outcomes in a large and diverse health service.

About
the Role
As a member
of the NMHS Executive, reporting to the Chief Executive, you will
have responsibility for the People and Culture portfolio across the
service.
In this
role, you will lead a whole‑of‑service approach to workforce
development and people strategy, with a strong focus on talent
development, health, safety and wellbeing, and fostering a culture
of high performance. You will provide strong, visible leadership to
the People and Culture team to support the delivery of safe,
high‑quality care.

quality health care, embracing acknowledged best practice to
deliver improved clinical outcomes in the face of rising challenges
for all healthcare providers. The NMHS comprises a mix of tertiary,
specialist, and generalist hospitals. Our north metropolitan
catchment area covers almost 1000 square kilometres. Our population
represents about 28 per cent of Western Australia’s total and is
projected to grow to more than 0.9 million by 2031.

Requirements
To be
successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Extensive
experience leading People and Culture functions in a large,
complex organisation, including industrial relations, human
resources, work health and safety, integrity, and
organisational development
- Proven
ability to formulate and deliver organisation‑wide culture
change and workforce strategies in a complex and evolving
environment
- Strong
capability to lead, influence and develop large,
multidisciplinary teams to deliver high‑quality,
customer‑focused services across multiple sites
- Experience
partnering with executive leadership to deliver large‑scale
organisational reform, integration and change, including
managing industrial and workforce risks
- Demonstrated
ability to use workforce data and analytics to inform strategic
decision‑making, workforce planning and continuous
improvement
- High
level of personal integrity, with a strong commitment to
governance and ethical decision‑making aligned to NMHS
values

Eligibility
Eligibility
to Apply: Australian citizenship or permanent
residency is required for appointment to permanent positions in the
public sector. To be eligible for this fixed‑term appointment,
applicants must have documentary evidence of their entitlement to
live and work in Australia for the duration of the
contract.
Other
Conditions: WA Health engages staff in positions of
trust and responsibility. WA Health policies require applicants to
undertake a criminal records screening and integrity checking as
part of the appointment process. As well as undertaking a criminal
record screening and integrity checking, you may also be required
to undertake a working with children check (if required for the

Whilst this
selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy,
it may also be used to fill other "similar" vacancies throughout

Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12)
months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment
