This is a 4 month fixed term, full-time position commencing June 2026 with possible extension and/or permanency
Statewide Services provides the services and supports required by schools to enable student achievement, with a focus on those students and schools that need it most. It encompasses both school and system-facing service delivery. While it primarily exists to support schools, it also has an important system-facing role supporting strategy and policy development.
The Service Design and Support Directorate provides the shared functions and support needed to provide better services to schools. It also coordinates, implements and supports programs, initiatives, and special projects. Its purpose is to provide strategy, policy and program oversight and operational support to Statewide Services.
The Role
The Project Support business unit is seeking to appoint a highly motivated, committed and enthusiastic individual with the ability to organise and prioritise tasks effectively. Your working day may include delivery of editorial services aligned with Departmental protocols, support to committees and working groups through meeting setup, note-taking, and associated documentation. You will ideally have experience in providing general and personal assistant administration, coordinating multiple activities and timeframes with strong customer service focus and effective communication to a diverse range of stakeholders.
The successful applicant will provide high-level clerical and administrative support including basic research, to the business unit. In addition, you will coordinate and assist with travel arrangements for staff, purchase card reconciliations, and budget preparation. As the Administrative Assistant, you will develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You will also work within teams and across business units to ensure integrated service delivery to schools and the system.
Applicants with experience in preparing and distributing meeting agendas and minutes, managing incoming telephone calls, visitor enquiries, calendars, office systems, meetings, emails, and other communication are encouraged to apply.
