About the role

The Corporate Services and Major Infrastructure Projects Directorate is responsible for leading and enhancing the Department’s major infrastructure planning to meet strategic and business needs whilst ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation at a time where the Department is going through a major building program. The Directorate provides high level support and expertise to support Corporate Services and Operational Project Managers in the development of detailed project management documentation for capital works projects.

The Project Officer is responsible for undertaking project work that supports the delivery of long term and complex infrastructure projects to align and support the Department of Justice’s Strategic Asset Plan. The position is expected to develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

In accordance with the National Child Safety Principles, people who work directly with children and young people, you must have a current Working with Children Check or be able to successfully apply for one to be eligible for appointment to this position. The Working with Children Check is only required for one of the projects and isn’t an eligibility requirement for the position. 

Eligibility

To be eligible for appointment to permanent positions in the West Australian Public Sector you must be an Australian citizen or have permanent resident status in Australia.
