Position
Profile: The Analyst System Analytics participates in
regular and ad-hoc analytics and reporting on health system
performance to Health Executive, Government and the public. This
includes analytics and performance reporting solutions using
clinical, corporate and operational data sets to deliver
performance insights to support decision making and participation
in complex analytical projects.
As an Analyst
System Analytics you will:
- Participate in regular
and ad-hoc analytics and performance reporting of health
service related data. This includes a focus on opportunities to
improve system monitoring, performance reporting and analytics
of a range of data sets containing clinical, corporate and
other operational information.
- Provide
rapid analytics, which involves complex data analysis in short
periods of time to support evidence-based decision making by
Health executives and the Government.
- Contribute to the
development of performance reporting dashboards and data
visualisations to support internal performance reporting and
enable public reporting of health related performance
data.
- Contribute to the
provision of advice on analytical and performance reporting
related reform projects, often using complex and multifaceted
information sources and involves a range of key internal and
external stakeholders.
- Undertake research and
provides advice on new and emerging health analytics techniques
and reporting methodologies. Contributes to the development of
methodologies to integrate different data sources to enhance
existing performance reporting and analytics.
Eligibility to
Apply: To be eligible for appointment, applicants must
have a valid working visa (for fixed term appointments) or be an
Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have a visa to live and
work indefinitely in Australia (for permanent
appointments).
Other
Conditions: WA Health engages staff in
positions of trust and responsibility. WA Health policies require
applicants to undertake a criminal records screening and integrity
checking as part of the appointment process. As well as undertaking
a criminal record screening and integrity checking, you may also be
required to undertake a working with children check (if required
for the role) and a pre-employment health assessment. We may ask
referees to comment on your integrity and past demonstration of
ethical behaviour. Please note that adverse information does not
necessarily disqualify an applicant but will be considered as part
of the appointment process.
Whilst this
selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy,
it may also be used to fill other "similar" vacancies throughout
the health service. In addition to this, should the successful
applicant decline or vacate the advertised vacancy, then the next
most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process.
Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12)
months from when the authorised delegate endorses the
recruitment decision.
