This position is a fixed-term full-time opportunity from 1 July 2026 for twelve (12) months with the possibility of extensions and/or permanency.
This selection process may be used to fill other similar at level vacancies that arise within twelve (12) months. Applicants deemed suitable but not recommended may be considered for those roles.

About the Role
The Training Development Support and Compliance (TDSC) Directorate undertakes a service function that facilitates the development and maintenance of products, resources and quality
assurance systems to support the achievement of high-quality training outcomes.
The TDSC Directorate is responsible for maintaining the agency's status as a nationally recognised Registered Training Organisation. In addition to its product development and compliance role, TDSC ensures the governance, reporting and accessibility of DFES training are maximised through management of the eLearning Systems.
This role oversees the development and design of both nationally recognised and DFES-specific training products for the delivery to staff and volunteers. It provides leadership in training product design, development, continuous improvement, and compliance with organisational and national standards.
The position ensures training product development outcomes through planning, prioritising, scheduling, and resourcing of people and projects, manages stakeholder relationships and supports training development projects across business units.

Eligibility To Apply
You must be an Australian Citizen or hold permanent residency.
National Police Certificate
A condition of employment for new employees of DFES is that a current National Police Certificate (less than 3 months old) is provided prior to commencement.
Choice of Super
The Fire and Emergency Services (Superannuation Fund) Regulations 1986, prevents DFES from offering choice of super for permanent appointments. Those appointed permanently, only have the following two options:
- Remain with their existing GESB Superannuation account; or
- Join the Fire and Emergency Services Superannuation Fund (Click here for more information).
Those appointed on a fixed-term contract do have a choice of superannuation, however, if converted to permanent, employees will need to choose one of the two options listed above.
