This is a Permanent, Full-Time
position working 76 hours per fortnight. This position is located
at the Royal Perth Hospital.

Whilst this selection process will initially be used to
fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other "similar"
vacancies throughout the health service. In addition to this,

Position Profile: We are currently seeking
a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to appoint to a Nurse
Practitioner role in our Intensive Care Unit.
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) – Intense Care Unit (ICU) provides
expert knowledge and high-level clinical service in collaboration
with other health professionals to diagnose, treat and manage a
patient’s health status in accordance with National legislation and
regulation. The NP works autonomously to perform advanced physical
assessments, request and interpret diagnostic and/or screening
investigations, initiate and manage complex healthcare
requirements, initiate referrals to relevant health providers, and
prescribe appropriate medications and other therapies. The NP
provides clinical leadership as appropriate and is responsible for
developing standards of practice, initiating research, leading
quality improvement activities, and implementing changes to
clinical practice. The NP practices at an advanced level within
their scope of practice considerate of the Nursing and Midwifery
Board of Australia (NMBA) Nurse Practitioner standards for
practice and is accountable for all care instigated and
provided.
