This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 3, 2026

Halls Head College (HHC) is uniquely situated on the 'island' of Halls Head just south of Mandurah. The local intake area of HHC is south, close to the Waroona Shire boundary. The contributory primary schools are Glencoe, Halls Head, Falcon, South Halls Head and Ocean Road. The College provides a secondary education for students who live in the rapidly growing coastal strip, south of Mandurah.

The Role

We are seeking a dynamic, innovative and enthusiastic Deputy Principal to lead a challenging and rewarding portfolio with a strong focus on curriculum leadership.  The role provides an exciting opportunity for a collaborative forward-thinking leader to contribute strategically to whole-school improvement through curriculum development, staff development, and the leadership of innovative programs aligned with the College Business Plan. 

The successful applicant with be a collaborative team player who displays strong leadership capability, professional integrity, and positive, proactive attitude.  As an integral member of the College leadership team, the Deputy Principal will ideally possess the personal attributes to foster and strengthen the established school culture of genuine care, respect and support for colleagues which underpins the important work undertaken each day to create optimal learning conditions for students to flourish. 

The successful applicant will ideally display outstanding collaborative leadership capability, with exemplary interpersonal skills, and significant experience leading curriculum initiatives and whole school improvement.  They will ideally possess the ability to lead change strategically, coach and develop staff, and model effective teaching practice to enhance student learning outcomes. The role ideally requires a proactive and resilient leader who can effectively manage competing priorities, build strong relationships with stakeholders, and contribute positively to the College culture through professionalism, compassion, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
