We are seeking a passionate and industry-experienced lecturer who is motivated to share their knowledge and skills with the next generation of high-risk and machine operation workers.

In this role, you will deliver training and assessment across a range of high-risk and machine operation programs, supporting students to develop the practical skills and safety knowledge required for successful employment outcomes in industry.

As a Lecturer at South Regional TAFE (SR TAFE), you will:

  • Plan, develop and deliver engaging training and assessment aligned to nationally recognised training packages
  • Facilitate learning and mentor students to achieve competency and build confidence in high-risk and plant operations work environments
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of training delivery and student outcomes
  • Maintain strong industry engagement and stay current with emerging technologies, practices and compliance requirements

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity based at our Collie campus, working within a supportive team committed to high-quality vocational education and training.

To be successful, you will bring:

  • Significant industry experience (minimum 5 years) in a high-risk work and machine operators environment
  • Relevant high-risk work licences (such as dogging, rigging, scaffolding, forklift, EWP), with additional tickets such as confined space entry and working at heights highly desirable
  • WorkSafe Assessor accreditation (or the ability to obtain)
  • A genuine passion for training, mentoring and developing others

Relevant Qualifications & Experience
To succeed in this role, you’ll bring strong industry experience and hold relevant qualifications and licences. Ideally, you will have: 

  • High Risk Work Licences in one or more of the following: Dogging, Rigging, Scaffolding, Crane (CN/CN1/CO), Forklift, or Elevated Work Platform (EWP)
  • Current tickets in Confined Space Entry and Working at Heights
  • WorkSafe Assessor accreditation, or the experience required to apply for an assessor ticket
  • A minimum of five years’ industry experience in your area of expertise

To deliver accredited training, you’ll also need to meet the requirements under the Registration Standards 2025, including holding a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122, TAE40116, or TAE40110), or a secondary teaching qualification with an Assessor Skill Set (TAESS00011, TAESS00019, or TAESS00024)

Don’t have the training qualification yet? That’s okay, you’re still encouraged to apply. We’ll support you to enrol, commence training, and complete the qualification within two years of starting.
