About The Role

Lead a critical finance function at the heart of Western Australia’s public transport network. As Manager, Ticketing Revenue, you will oversee the financial policies, processes and controls that underpin the Transperth, Regional and School Bus Services ticketing systems. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with Australian Accounting Standards, Treasurer’s Instructions and the Financial Management Act, while delivering accurate, timely and reliable financial outcomes in a customer-focused environment. You will provide expert strategic and operational advice to support sound decision-making and the ongoing integrity and optimisation of revenue management across the Division.

In this high-impact leadership role, you will lead and develop a specialist team responsible for managing complex ticketing revenue reconciliations, customer queries and financial transactions across multiple platforms. You will play a key role in strengthening governance and compliance frameworks, driving continuous improvement, and enhancing controls to mitigate risk and ensure financial accuracy. Working closely with key stakeholders, you will identify and resolve revenue management issues, influence system and process enhancements, and contribute to divisional strategy—ensuring the continued efficiency, integrity and performance of the PTA’s ticketing revenue systems

About You

To be successful in this role you will have: -

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or equivalent experience, with strong expertise in financial operations and reconciliations.
  • Demonstrated experience working with complex ticketing or financial systems, with the ability to analyse, interpret and resolve account discrepancies.
  • Strong understanding of financial legislation, policies and compliance requirements, with the ability to apply them in practice.
  • Proven leadership capability, with experience mentoring, coaching and developing high-performing teams.
  • Highly developed analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver accurate outcomes within tight timeframes.
