We are seeking to establish a pool of School Psychologists for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
The pool will initially be used to fill current vacancies located in Derby, Fitzroy Crossing and Halls Creek with applicants located or willing to locate to these areas being strongly encouraged to apply. The pool may also be used to appoint successful applicants to permanent and fixed term vacancies as they arise in Kununurra and Broome.

The Role
As a school psychologist with the Kimberley Education Regional Office, you will be joining a dynamic team of psychologists, from early career through to many years of experience. While you will be employed with the Kimberley Education Regional Office team, you may be working in various schools across the Kimberley location. We’re looking for highly motivated psychologists, with a strong focus on professional learning communities and collegiality.
The suitable applicants will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to collaborate and work effectively with our regional and school leadership teams, teaching staff, students, families and the wider school community. As a school psychologist you will ideally exercise professional reflexivity and work in culturally responsive ways to create conditions for culturally safe care.
The role involves building and maintaining effective and collaborative working relationships within and external to the Department of Education, a strong understanding of case management, ability to consult widely, and work effectively as both part of a team and independently when required. The school psychologist provides psychological services and evidence-based assessments and interventions in mental health and well-being, behaviour, risk and critical incident management, learning and disability.

- Demonstrated ability to apply analytical and conceptual skills to issues identification, risk assessment and analysis, intervention and evaluation.
