This is a great opportunity to be part of the world’s largest bulk export port authority, encompassing the operating ports of Ashburton, Dampier, Port Hedland and Varanus Island, and five future port sites.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Management Officer to join our maturing PMO and support the ongoing uplift of project, program and portfolio governance across the business.
This role is suited to a PMO professional who enjoys working closely with delivery teams and stakeholders to strengthen governance, consistency and reporting. You will support program and portfolio‑level governance and reporting, assist in maintaining PMO frameworks and standards, and establish and manage fit‑for‑purpose document control processes. Working in partnership with project managers and business stakeholders, you will provide practical guidance that enables successful project delivery.
A core focus of the role is uplifting project management capability across the organisation. You will contribute to the design and delivery of targeted training, guidance and coaching, helping to embed consistent, effective ways of working and increase overall PMO maturity.
About You
This role will suit you if you thrive in a diverse, fast-paced environment. You are a highly organised and collaborative PMO professional with strong experience in project governance, assurance and reporting across complex programs or portfolios. You bring a pragmatic approach to improving project management frameworks, processes and tools, and work confidently with stakeholders at all levels to enable effective decision‑making.
You communicate clearly, can turn data into useful insights, identify risks and opportunities early, and support project teams through guidance, training and coaching. You are comfortable juggling competing priorities, working under pressure, and shifting focus when needed, and you value consistent, efficient ways of working that genuinely add value.
