About the role
Are you an experienced HR professional passionate about fostering respectful, fair and harmonious workplaces? The Public Transport Authority is seeking a skilled consultant to provide high‑level advisory and investigative support on a wide range of complaints, grievances and workplace behaviour matters. In this pivotal role, you will partner with managers, senior leaders and employees to navigate complex and sensitive situations, offering expert guidance on issues related to equity, respectful behaviour, and organisational conduct.
As a trusted specialist, you will oversee and coordinate case management activities, ensuring complaints are managed with integrity, impartiality and in line with legislative and policy frameworks. This role offers the opportunity to shape outcomes, support the resolution of contentious human resource matters, and contribute to building capability across the organisation—strengthening a culture where people feel respected, supported and empowered.
About You!
We are looking for someone who is able to:
- Provide high-level consultancy and advisory services to managers and employees on complaints, grievances, equity and respectful workplace behaviours.
- Lead and coordinate investigations into bullying, harassment, discrimination and inappropriate workplace conduct, ensuring impartial and timely resolution.
- Manage a complex and sensitive caseload independently, delivering high‑quality reports, recommendations and performance‑aligned outcomes.
- Maintain strong stakeholder relationships while promoting confidentiality, integrity, and continuous improvement in investigative practices and governance.
- Identify systemic issues and contribute to policy, process and organisational improvements through insights gained from complaint trends and case analysis

This is a permanent position. Initially this selection process will be used to fill the above vacancy, however it may also be used to appoint to similar positions that arise within the next 12 months.
To be eligible to work permanently at the PTA you must be either an Australian Citizen or have Permanent Residency status or hold a current visa with permanent working rights in Australia.
