As Deputy Principal, you will collaborate closely with the leadership team to provide educational leadership, drive innovation, and implement our 2025 - 2027 Strategic Plan. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Pathways: Develop innovative pathways to support secondary student transition and build year 12 completion and graduation opportunities.

Our Ideal Deputy Principal – Secondary

If you’re motivated, innovative, and ready to embrace a fulfilling journey in leadership, we want to hear from you!

Life in Laverton – Adventure Awaits!

Laverton School is made up of three campuses: Laverton Campus (in town); Cosmo Newberry (95km east of Laverton) and Mulga Queen (135km north-east of Laverton). We are nestled in the Northern Goldfields of Western Australia on the edge of the Great Victoria Desert. Wongi people, collectively known as Wongutha or Wankatja people, have occupied the area for thousands of years.

Due to our remote location and the possible need for gravel driving, all staff will need to complete a 4WD training course (preferably prior to coming to Laverton) – paid for by the school.

Laverton offers a wealth of services to support your lifestyle, including a youth club, a gym, 24 hour fuel, volunteer organisations (eg. St John Ambulance), a regularly visiting GP and a local hospital. Enjoy convenient access to a supermarket, café and takeaway options, all within a friendly community atmosphere. With regular flights to and from Perth and a host of recreational opportunities including weekend camping trips and visits to Kalgoorlie (our closest major centre), Laverton is the perfect place to call home.
