This is a Permanent Part Time role
at 30.4 hours per fortnight (0.4 FTE). The role may require
occasional regional travel throughout the South West region.
We are seeking a dedicated Nurse
Practitioner with a passion for Palliative Care to join our team at
WACHS. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced
healthcare professional looking to work autonomously in a role that
demands expert clinical knowledge and the ability to collaborate
with multidisciplinary teams. As part of our commitment to
providing exceptional care, you will be responsible for diagnosing,
treating, and managing patients with a focus on their health and
wellbeing.
Key
Responsibilities:
- Provide advanced clinical assessments and initiate
management plans for complex patient health concerns, in line
with national legislation and guidelines.
- Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals and
contribute to a multidisciplinary approach to patient
care.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives and engage in research
activities to enhance clinical practices and patient
outcomes.
- Maintain and develop clinical standards and policies while
ensuring compliance with Nursing and Midwifery Board (NMBA)
standards.
- Serve as a mentor and resource for other health
professionals, facilitating education and training in
palliative care.
Ideal
Candidate:
- Must have current NMBA registration as a Registered Nurse
with an endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Demonstrated extensive clinical experience and expert
knowledge in palliative care.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the
ability to build positive relationships with staff, patients,
and their families.
- Proficient in critical thinking and problem-solving to
support complex patient management.
- Proven commitment to continuous quality improvement and the
ability to influence organisational change.
- Knowledge of local and national policies affecting
healthcare delivery and regulatory compliance.
