The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) is a critical participant in the administration of justice within Western Australia, providing an independent and effective criminal prosecution service and confiscation practice.
The Brief Out Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the day‑to‑day operational functions of the ODPP’s newest Team the Brief Out Team, ensuring efficient service delivery, effective communication with Brief Out Counsel, and accurate processing of payments. The role also contributes to governance, risk management, continuous improvement, and people leadership within Legal Practice Support.
As part of the Legal Practice Support leadership team, the Brief Out Team Leader supports high standards of service delivery across the ODPP while leading, mentoring, and developing team members.
We are seeking a motivated and capable professional who can support service delivery in a fast‑paced environment, demonstrate sound judgement and problem‑solving skills, manage competing priorities, build positive working relationships with a range of stakeholders, communicate clearly and professionally, and use information systems and digital tools confidently.

The ODPP deals with serious criminal offences, including homicide offences involving members of the WA Community. In the course of your duties, you will encounter materials including, however not limited to, photographs, videos, written statements, and oral evidence.
