About The Role

Play a pivotal role in shaping the future of rail operations as part of Transperth Train Operations (TTO). In this strategically significant position, you will provide expert advice and coordination support to the TTO management team, ensuring operational requirements are embedded into major infrastructure and technology initiatives, including the Radio Systems Replacement (RSR) and High-Capacity Signalling (HCS) projects.

Acting as the key interface between project teams and operational areas such as Driver and Depot Operations and Network Control, you will help ensure seamless integration of new systems while maintaining safe, reliable and efficient rail services.

Working across complex, high-profile projects, you will lead stakeholder engagement, provide operational insight and influence decision-making to optimise outcomes for the rail network.

Through research, analysis and active participation in risk and safety forums, you will identify and mitigate operational impacts, support the development of robust safeworking solutions and drive continuous improvement across train operations. This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to major network enhancements while strengthening operational resilience, performance and service delivery for customers.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have: -

  • Extensive experience in urban rail operations, including Rail Traffic Crew, Service Planning and Network Control, with strong knowledge of relevant policies and industrial agreements.
  • Proven ability to apply operational expertise to identify emerging issues and develop effective strategies across major rail projects and technology interfaces.
  • Experience in tender evaluation and project coordination within a complex rail operations environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability, with the ability to engage, motivate and influence stakeholders to achieve successful project and operational outcomes.
  • Highly developed communication, analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of building strong relationships, resolving issues and delivering innovative solutions.

This is a fixed term opportunity for 60 months.
