
We are seeking to establish a pool of School Officers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 2, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
Jilbup Primary School (PS) is a modern and dynamic school located in Hammond Park, having opened in 2024. The school features contemporary facilities including an administration block, early childhood teaching areas, general learning classrooms, an inclusive education room, and specialist teaching spaces for art and science. Students and staff also benefit from a well-resourced library, covered assembly area, music room, oval and hard courts.
The school provides a comprehensive teaching and learning program for students from Kindergarten to Year 6. This includes a Specialised Learning Program (SLP) for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), designed to support individual learning needs and promote inclusive educational outcomes for students from K–6.

The Role
We are seeking dedicated and customer-focused School Officers to join our administration team. Suitable applicants will provide effective administrative support and contribute to the efficient operation of the school, with a particular focus on parent engagement, front office services and school communications.
As a key member of the front office team, the School Officers are often the first point of contact for students, parents, staff and members of the wider community, and should display professionalism, initiative and a commitment to high-quality customer service.
Suitable applicants will ideally:
- Display well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, parents and the wider community
- Possess sound organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a busy environment
- Display attention to detail and accuracy in administrative processes and data entry
- Show initiative and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in dealing with sensitive matters
The role may include:
- Providing administrative support across a range of front office functions
- Processing student enrolments, including for mainstream and SLP students, and an understanding of visa classifications
- Maintaining accurate student records using systems such as SIS, Compass and Microsoft Office Suite
- Supporting attendance processes and daily reporting requirements
- Managing ordering of office and teaching consumables
- Coordinating maintenance requests, repairs and contractor bookings
- Maintaining school registers and administrative records
- Managing excursion payments, documentation and associated processes
- Assisting with general administrative tasks and school communications
- Supporting student-related administrative processes
- Assisting the Manager Corporate Services with financial, physical and human resource functions, in accordance with Departmental policies and procedures
Knowledge of RM Billing, RM Finance and HRMIS is important.
