This is a full-time, 4-month opportunity with the possibility of extension, available for immediate filling.
We are seeking an experienced governance and/or policy professional with strong research and analytical capability, excellent written communication, and demonstrated ability to manage relationships and deliver outcomes across multiple priorities.
Overall Purpose of the Role
This role manages corporate governance and supports policy design and coordination across the Transport and Major Infrastructure Portfolio, including facilitating governance requirements, advising senior leaders, and promoting a strong governance culture. The role also leads the development, monitoring and review of key corporate plans including the Disability Access and Inclusion Plan, Reconciliation Action Plan and Multicultural Plan.
About you
Candidates should have:
- Considerable experience in corporate governance and/or policy development, ideally in a public sector environment.
- Proven ability to deliver outcomes across multiple concurrent projects, including planning timeframes, allocating resources, and managing risks.
- Highly developed research, analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and resolve complex issues.
- Strong written communication skills, including preparing high-quality briefings and complex reports for diverse audiences.
- Confident stakeholder engagement, building effective partnerships across internal and external networks.
- Capability to coach and mentor others and contribute to a positive, values-based team culture.
