The Role
As a Deputy Principal, you will ideally apply your professional knowledge and understanding to lead high quality teaching and learning. Drawing on the Quality Teaching Strategy, you should support our future business plan goals by improving student outcomes through high quality teaching practices.
We are seeking an experienced leader with strong mentoring and collegiate leadership skills. Experience in developing middle leaders and supporting graduate teachers, experienced teachers, and education assistants through a strong performance and development culture will be highly desirable. Experience in developing a whole-school instructional coaching framework and leading the analysis of teaching impact through routine data analysis is highly desirable. The successful applicant should demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of contemporary curriculum and pedagogy across a K-6 setting. Applicants should also have a proven track record of improving student outcomes and effectively supporting staff in implementing best practice teaching and learning programs.
The Deputy Principal should work collaboratively with the connected community and executive leadership team to implement best practice, utilising the Teaching for Impact suite of resources. As a school, we are committed to providing the best possible education, ensuring all students develop the knowledge, skills, and values required to adapt to a changing world.
This role will include a teaching component.
