About the
Role:
We are seeking to appoint
suitably experienced and enthusiastic individuals to the position
of Intensive Care Senior Registrar. This position will provide
a high quality, patient centred care to intensive care inpatients
and outpatients, under the supervision of the Head of Department or
Duty Consultant, working within their ability and according to the
hospitals mission and core values. Progression of clinical
responsibility to the level of a junior Consultant, with
accompanying administrative roles is expected depending on
satisfactory progress. Reviews and provides advice for patients
referred from the Emergency Department, hospital wards and
referring hospitals. Participation in ICU teaching and education
programs, quality improvement activities and handover processes are
also expected. Works with the hospital(s) and health service
to achieve National, State, and South Metropolitan Health Service
(SMHS) performance standards and targets and National Safety and
Quality Healthcare Standards.
