The location of this position is
negotiable within the Wheatbelt region. Planned regional travel,
including occasional overnight stays, is a core component of the
role and supported by the service.
About the OPPORTUNITY
In conjunction with the Nurse Educator, plans, implements and
evaluates inter-professional programs addressing the learning needs
of nurses and midwives within the Wheatbelt region including
graduate nurses and midwives. Plans, implements and evaluates the
processes that enhance the knowledge and skills of nurses and
midwives including graduate nurses and midwives and students to
meet the regulatory, quality and safety practice standards within
the health service with an overarching focus on consumer centred
care.
To be successful in this role, you will
have…
- Advanced clinical knowledge and experience in the delivery
of evidence based nursing care incorporating quality and risk
management in the practice setting
- Clinical teaching and supervisory skills with an
understanding of adult learning perspectives, and the use of
critical reflection
- Well-developed interpersonal, negotiation and conflict
resolution skills including team leadership and the ability to
work effectively with others
- Computer skills to enable teaching of navigation of online
policy access, internal communication and completing online
learning resources
- A current knowledge of legislative obligations for Equal
Opportunity, Disability Services and Work Health and Safety,
and how these impact on delivery of teaching and education
services
- Eligible for / or in possession of a current C or C-A Class
drivers licence, with the ability to travel within the region
including overnight stays
