The OIC is looking for appropriately qualified and experienced professionals to fill the roles of Senior Review Officer L6 and Principal Review Officer L7.
You will recognise the importance of privacy and information access laws in our daily lives and be interested in the assessment and resolution of external review applications made under the FOI Act.
About the roles
The Senior Review Officer and Principal Review Officer support the Information Commissioner and Information Access Deputy Commissioner in the timely assessment and resolution external review applications made under the Freedom of Information Act 1992 (WA) (FOI Act).
Each role manages a caseload of external review matters, ensuring they are progressed in a timely manner consistent with the FOI Act and OIC business objectives.

About the OIC
The Office of the Information Commissioner WA (OIC) is the independent regulator fostering trust and accountability in Western Australia through privacy and freedom of information.
The OIC provides independent oversight and advice to regulated entities and the community about how regulated entities handle personal and government information. The OIC helps the community understand and exercise their information rights.
Led by the Information Commissioner and supported by the Privacy Deputy Commissioner and Information Access Deputy Commissioner, the OIC oversees privacy and information matters under the Privacy and Responsible Information Sharing Act 2024 (WA) (PRIS Act) and Freedom of Information Act 1992 (WA) (FOI Act).

Eligibility
To be eligible for appointment to permanent positions in the West Australian Public Sector you must be an Australian citizen or have permanent resident status in Australia.
