Driver Compliance Officer with HR and R class licence wanted!

The Opportunity
We are looking for Driver Compliance Officers to join our compliance team based at Innaloo.
In this role, the Driver Compliance Officer delivers and evaluates competency‑based training using adult learning principles, while auditing internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with legislation, policy and approved standards. You will analyse performance data and customer feedback to identify risks, training needs and improvement opportunities, design and deliver targeted training and audit programs, and prepare clear, evidence‑based reports with practical recommendations. The role also represents the Driver Compliance Branch through stakeholder engagement, advisory support and project work aimed at improving the quality, consistency and integrity of driver training and assessment across Western Australia.

There is currently one (1) permanent position available for immediate filling.
Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments will be made for this or similar future vacancies (fixed term or permanent) that arise within the next 6 months from date of first appointment across DTMI.
About you
- Experience delivering workplace training using adult learning principles
- Experience conducting audits in a regulatory or compliance environment
- Ability to gather and analyse training and performance data
- Well‑developed communication, presentation, and report writing skills
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively to meet deadlines
- Possession of unrestricted driver licence classes HR and R or eligibility and willingness to obtain.

- (SC1) Demonstrated ability to effectively mentor, design and deliver on the job instruction and workplace training programs, following the principles of adult learning
- (SC2) Significant experience in auditing performance in a regulatory environment including the ability to interpret legislation, policies and procedures
- (SC5) A high level of interpersonal and communication skills with the proven ability to present to industry, community and other stakeholder groups, including those from diverse cultural backgrounds
- A copy of your current driver’s licence, HR and R licence or proof of eligibility to obtain HR and R licence.
- Please, nominate two (2) referees who can provide feedback on your capacity to meet the Work-Related Requirements. At least one of the referees should be your most recent, immediate supervisor.
