Intake with an appointment at Registrar or Senior Registrar (with
FRACP) depending on years of experience as a Trainee Registrar in
Gastroenterology.
This
is a Recruitment Pool for Fixed Term Full Time appointments for 12
months, with the possibility of extension(s) commencing
1st February 2027.
Suitable
applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be
made when similar vacancies occur. Appointments may be made from
this pool until 03/12/2026.
Salary:
Registrar Year 1-7 $158,041 to $210,963
p.a.*
*includes base salary $128,760 to $175,802 pa,
professional development allowance $11,721 p.a and 12.5% employer
contributed superannuation.
OR
Senior Registrar Year 1-2, $231,259 to $241,750
p.a.*
*includes base salary $188,817 to $198,142 pa,
professional development allowance $16,757 p.a and 12.5% employer
contributed superannuation.
Note:
Superannuation of 12.5% from 1 July 2026, with salary rates to
change from 3 September 2026
Position Profile:
We are seeking to appoint an
Inflammatory Bowel Disease Registrar or Senior Registrar to our
Gastroenterology Department at Royal Perth Hospital. In this role
you will have the opportunity of undertaking training in complex
IBD. Opportunities also exist to be trained in a nutritional
service (both PPN and TPN). You will also be trained to read and
report capsule endoscopy. You will be required to promote high
quality patient centred care to inpatients and outpatients of the
Gastroenterology Service, under the supervision of consultants and
within a multi-disciplinary team to review the medical needs of the
patients. You will assist with teaching and support to Resident
Medical Officers and Interns.
*Please note, this position is not suitable as an avenue for ‘top
up’ training or for overseas trainees or specialists. This position
is designed for advanced trainees in Gastroenterology or Specialist
Physicians with FRACP (Gastroenterology).
