Resident Medical Officer - Emergency Medicine
This
is a Recruitment Pool for Fixed Term Full Time Appointments for 12
months with the possibility of extension(s).
Suitable
applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be
made when similar vacancies occur. Appointments may be made from
this pool until 31/12/2026.
Position Profile:
We are seeking to
appoint suitably experienced Resident Medical
Officers to our Emergency Department for a 12-month period. It is
intended that this will assist in developing skills in Emergency
Medicine in a focussed manner for doctors at Resident Medical
Officer level. There is the opportunity to specifically develop
skills in trauma care, bedside ultrasound and in clinical
toxicology. In this role you will provide a high-quality
clinical service to all hospital patients under the supervision of
Clinical Supervisors including Consultants and Registrars within a
multidisciplinary team. You will also be required to work within
your ability and according to the hospital’s core values of
Commitment, Accountability, Respect and Excellence. In this role
you will also expand your knowledge and skills through the
available learning opportunities.

Armadale Health Service (AHS) which
incorporates Armadale Hospital and Armadale Mental Health Service,
is one of Australia’s leading public hospitals delivering quality
health care to the community. The hospital is located 34km
south-east of the Perth CBD.
The
Emergency Department (ED) provides a 24-hour emergency service for
adults and children. We care for people whose health conditions are
serious and require urgent attention including Obstetrics,
paediatric and neonatal emergencies. More than 60,000 people come
through our department each year.
