for Fixed Term Full Time appointments for 6-12 months with the
possibility of extension(s).
Suitable applicants will be
placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar
vacancies occur. Appointments may be made from this pool
until 31/01/2027.
Position
Profile:
King Edward Memorial Hospital is seeking
suitable applications from experienced doctors to fill Senior
Registrar positions in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. These positions
can provide clinical exposure leading to completion of a number of
Advanced Training Modules for those pursuing Fellowship of the
Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and
Gynaecologists. At any one time, KEMH can support:
- Eight
trainees completing the Generalist Obstetrics and Gynaecology
Pathway
- Two
trainees completing the Advanced Obstetrics Pathway
- One
trainee completing the Sexual and Reproductive Health
Pathway
- Two
trainees completing the Laparoscopy/Hysteroscopy Advanced
Training Module
Area
Profile:
The Women and Newborn Health Service provides
clinical care to women and families. It comprises King Edward
Memorial Hospital, the Maternity Unit at Osborne Park Hospital and
other specialist health services.
The Women and
Newborn Services at Osborne Park Hospital merged with WNHS in 2020.
The new service became part of the overall Women and Newborn Health
Service. The merging of the two services created a synergy for
women’s healthcare options, encouraging greater opportunity for
cross-site communication and collaboration. The new service is an
additional pregnancy care option for women, all governed by
WNHS.
Established
in 1916, KEMH is the State’s largest maternity hospital and the
only referral centre for complex, high acuity pregnancies in
WA.
