a talented and enthusiastic Clinical Nurse to join the team at the
Step Up Step Down facility in Geraldton in the
Midwest.
To be successful, you will
have...
- Knowledge of and
experience with psychiatric disorders and treatment
interventions, and principles of community based mental health
care and illness prevention.
- Well-developed written
and verbal communication, negotiating and problem-solving
skills.
- The ability to work with
clients from a variety of cultural and ethnic
groups.
- A working knowledge of
the WA Mental Health Act (2014) and other relevant
legislation.
- The ability to work with
other health professionals with a multi-disciplinary
team.
- Knowledge of computer
applications, word processing skills.
- Eligible for / or in
possession of a current C or C-A Class drivers licence or other
specialised licence class.
Position
Profile:
Provides assessments, plans,
implements and evaluates, Community Mental Health Nursing care to
consumers of the Regional Step Up Step Down facility as part of
Midwest Mental Health and Community Alcohol & Drug
Service.
The Clinical Nurse works autonomously to
triage consumers, monitor risk and complete clinical documentation,
including mental health assessments. The role requires recognising
and escalating clinical deterioration and providing support to
consumers throughout the 28‑day Step Up Step Down
program.
