About the Working With Children Screening Unit
The Working with Children (WWC) Check is a compulsory screening strategy in Western Australia and the Christmas and Cocos (Keeling) Islands for people who engage in certain paid or unpaid work with children, described as “child-related work” under the Working with Children (Screening) Act 2004.
The Working with Children Screening Unit (WWCSU) aims to safeguard children through the ongoing collection and assessment of information that is relevant to whether a child may be exposed to a risk of harm if an individual is engaged in child-related work.
The Opportunity
As a Senior Business Support Officer within the Working with Children Screening Unit (WWCSU) you will provide administrative business support and advice including supporting the Business Manager in human, physical and financial resource management of the WWCSU.
You will have the opportunity to develop and maintain internal business information and documentation with a focus on continuous improvement. You may also be involved with discrete projects which help support and improve business operations.
Your day to day may involve:
- Assisting in the coordination and monitoring of HR services within the WWCSU and providing management reports when required,
- KPI tracking, monthly reconciliation processes and tracking of accounts and invoices including refund processing,
- Providing information, guidance and training on functional admin matters relating to finance and HR to ensure compliance,
- Assisting with onboarding including arranging access to systems, applications and assets for new and returning staff,
- Running reports in relation to HR and finance, as well as assisting in data collection activities to inform the reporting requirements of the Unit.
