About The Role:

The Desktop Support Officer provides support to the workplace environment to ensure departmental users can perform their duties effectively and business outcomes are achieved. This includes supporting end-user devices such as PCs/Laptops, office productivity applications, email, internet/intranet, file and print services, telephony, mobility and remote access.

The role focuses on the installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of hardware and software, along with responding to incidents and service requests in accordance with established processes and service standards.

About You:

The ideal candidate will have practical expereience in supporting end-user computing environments within a customer service-focused ICT setting. They will be capable of installing, configuring and troubleshooting hardware, operating systems, application software and mobile devices.

They will demonstrate sound communicaiton and interpersonal skills, with the ability to deliver responsive and customer-centric support services. The successful candidate will follow establised procedures and processes, contribute to team objectives, and maintain a consistent and professional approach when supporting users across various locations.

A willingness to learn, adapt, and contribute to continuous improvement within the team is essential.

The position operates in Personal Leadership context. This means that you are required to demonstrate personal accountability for delivering excellence and support your team and agency in delivering strategic goals. You will be expected to build and nurture relationships and be willing to seek feedback and learn.
