exists for a talented and enthusiastic Coordinator of
Nursing to join the WA Country Health Service (WACHS)
Clinical Excellence team.
Area
Profile:
The Directorate of
Clinical Excellence and Medical Services provides strategic
leadership and oversight for WACHS in the areas of its
responsibility. These include patient safety and quality,
medical workforce, medical education, and medicolegal
matters and overseeing a range of health programs across
WACHS including Public Health to ensure high quality care
and service delivery at an individual, community and
population level. The Directorate contributes to decision
making on WACHS wide issues. works collaboratively with the
WACHS Executive and staff to deliver patient centred, high
quality, value-based health services to WA’s regional and
remote population.
To be successful,
you will have...
- Eligibility for
registration in the category of Registered Nurse by the
Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Demonstrated
high level nursing leadership skills in a public health
environment.
- Demonstrated
contemporary knowledge of issues and trends in public
health nursing, with a particular focus on rural and
remote service delivery and health service
reform.
- Demonstrated
excellent interpersonal, verbal and written
communication skills and ability to cultivate
teamwork.
- Demonstrated
well-developed analytical, financial, strategic
management and project management skills and
demonstrated knowledge and application of human
resource management principles.
- Demonstrated
experience in the application of continuous quality
improvement principles including managing change and
the implementation and evaluation of integrated
clinical governance strategies.
- Current
knowledge of legislative and regulatory requirements in
the areas of Equal Opportunity, Disability Services and
Occupational Safety & Health, and how these impact on
employment, people management and service
delivery.
- Possession of
current C or C-A Class driver’s licence.
- Regular travel
to all regions will be required including overnight
stays.
Position
Profile:
Provides high level
nursing clinical leadership, management and governance for
WACHS wide public health nursing services and programs to
ensure effective, efficient and safe service
provision.
Provides support to
the Director Public Health and Director Public Health
Medicine in developing and implementing the strategic
directions of the WACHS Public Health Service including the
progression of the health reform strategy, continuous
quality improvement and improving patient
safety.
