Newborough Primary School (PS) became an Independent Public School in 2012 and has a proud history since its establishment in 1955. The school is a Positive Behaviour Wellbeing and Support School that promotes the core behaviours of Respect, Teamwork, Kindness and Challenge Yourself. The Role

Newborough PS is seeking a highly motivated educator with strong leadership capabilities to join our leadership team as Deputy Principal. Working collaboratively with the Principal and administrative team, the Deputy Principal provides strategic and instructional leadership across the school and wider community.

The role includes responsibility for:

  • Student Services
  • Promoting quality teaching and learning
  • Management of student behaviour and wellbeing
  • Oversight and management of ICT across the school

Suitable applicants will ideally possess strong interpersonal skills and have the ability to provide excellence in educational leadership, the ability to self-reflect, promote an environment of active and positive behaviour management, lead data driven strategies and be knowledgeable about curriculum support strategies. You would work closely with students, teachers and the community to achieve the best educational outcomes for students.

Suitable applicants should have a clear understanding of the conditions and learning environments required to prepare students for success. They will ideally be high performers with successful leadership experience. Experience in managing the Students at Educational Risk processes will be advantageous as would an understanding of students with ASD and complex behaviour issues.
