About The Role

An opportunity is available for a motivated individual to manage a diverse portfolio of student transport contracts supporting school bus services across metropolitan, rural, regional and remote Western Australia. This role is responsible for coordinating contracts across the full lifecycle, ensuring services are delivered efficiently, safely and in compliance with contractual, legislative and policy requirements, while maintaining strong and collaborative relationships with contractors and key stakeholders.

The position also plays a key coordination role in planning transport services and administering the Student Transport Assistance Policy, including assessing applications, providing advice on policy application and supporting compliance activities. The role requires engagement with a wide range of stakeholders, to ensure appropriate transport solutions are delivered while maintaining student safety and wellbeing.

In addition, the role supports service development and student behaviour management by monitoring route efficiency, assisting with investigations and incident management, and providing guidance in line with established behavioural management guidelines. This is a varied and rewarding position offering the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to student access to safe and reliable transport across Western Australia.

To be successful in this role you will have: -

  • Demonstrated understanding of contract management principles, with practical experience in an operational environment.
  • Strong communication, negotiation and conflict‑resolution skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders effectively.
  • Well‑developed analytical and organisational skills, enabling you to interpret legislation, plan routes, prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
