The Transport Portfolio Land and Property Services (TPLPS) team is the Department’s centre of excellence for land, property, leasing and facilities management. Our Corporate Property and Accommodation team delivers building‑related projects across WA through a collaborative, flexible and customer‑focused approach, combining local knowledge, technology and a strong commitment to stakeholder outcomes.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a proactive and organised Projects Officer to support the development and delivery of accommodation and building projects across Western Australia.

In this role, you will assist with coordinating capital works, refurbishments, fit‑outs and minor works, while working closely with stakeholders, contractors and internal teams. You will contribute to project planning, reporting, governance and expenditure monitoring, helping to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and to a high standard. This is a great opportunity to build project capability while making a practical contribution to services that support communities across WA.

There is currently 1 permanent position available for immediate filling.

The successful applicant or applicants assessed as suitable through this process may receive further offers of employment (fixed term or permanent) in this or similar roles for a period of twelve (12) months from date of first appointment.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experienced in supporting building, fit‑out or minor works projects.
  • Ability to coordinate stakeholders, contractors and project documentation.
  • Skilled in monitoring budgets, approvals and project expenditure.
  • An organised communicator with strong customer service focus.
