About the opportunity
There is currently one (1) permanent full-time position available for immediate filling.
This position can be undertaken at Bunbury, Narrogin or Perth.
We are seeking a motivated and capable skilled officer to join our project team, providing critical support to initiatives that drive economic growth and innovation within the agribusiness sector.
This role will contribute to the increasing demand for technical expertise across industry and regulatory environments as Western Australia continues to evolve. Key focus areas include supporting the transition away from live export, enhancing environmental compliance within abattoirs, improving sustainability practices in the wine industry and the modelling of environmental and water treatment systems.
You will play an active role in delivering environmental design support, conducting research, and developing computational tools to inform decision-making and improve industry outcomes.
About You
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:
- Experience in environmental engineering, supported by strong research capabilities
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- The ability to deliver high-quality outcomes within defined timeframes
- A current Western Australian C or C-A class driver’s licence or equivalent is required

DPIRD is an Emergency Management Agency and all employees may be required to work or travel during, or outside of, normal business hours to assist with incidents and emergencies.
