The Role
Attadale PS is seeking to appoint a passionate and skilled Music Teacher to teach students from Year 1 to Year 6. This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing, collaborative school community where the arts are highly valued and well supported. The successful applicant should work with enthusiastic students and a collegial staff who recognise music as an important part of a well-rounded primary education.

Well-developed programs and resources are already in place, and the school community is proud of the standard of music education currently offered.
The successful applicant should take ownership of the school’s music program by building on existing high-quality practices and further strengthening the standing of the arts within the school. This includes planning and delivering an engaging and sequential music curriculum aligned to the Western Australian Curriculum, catering for a range of student abilities, and fostering a love of music and performance. The ability to bring fresh ideas while respecting and enhancing current programs will be highly regarded.
Coordination and collaboration with the Instrumental Music School Services program will be highly regarded, experience or interest in supporting large group performances, school events, and whole-school or community performances will also be highly regarded. The role requires strong organisational skills, the ability to work collaboratively with classroom teachers and school leaders, and a commitment to maintaining high standards in both learning and performance contexts.
