At Tambellup Primary School we are committed to creating a positive learning environment ensuring only success for our students. Our school has a strong focus on literacy and numeracy to ensure students are equipped and prepared for their future years. Other programs include Design and Technology, The Arts, Science, Physical Education and Humanities and Social Sciences. Our staff have been instrumental in the development of the Oral Language Program in response to needs within the school and community. This has been recognised as an example of 'best practice' by other schools. The school is also involved in the YMCA's 'A Smart Start Initiative' which is a community partnership between the local shire, Health Department and local schools. The initiative is aimed at supporting families with children aged up to 4 years old by providing support, resources and information to maximise their learning potential.

The Role
In this role you will show initiative by using your skills to benefit the school in maintaining and presenting the school grounds and gardens in a clean tidy condition, providing students and staff with a safe external learning environment.
The successful applicant will ideally have a passion for the outdoors and enjoy working to provide a suitable growing environment for our students and staff. You will be required to maintain tools and horticultural equipment in a serviceable condition and perform minor repairs and maintenance as well as perform tasks and duties using safe work practices, with minimal disruption to students and staff. You will provide advice and support to the Manager Corporate Services on school grounds maintenance and maintain accurate gardening records.
We are looking for an applicant who is friendly, helpful and caring; a punctual team player who enjoys gardening and taking pride in their work to keep our amazing gardens looking great.
