About
Our Team:
The Child and Adolescent
Mental Health Services (CAMHS) in Western Australia offer support,
advice and treatment to children and adolescents from birth to 18
years who are experiencing mental health challenges.
About
the Role:
In this role, you will
practise in accordance with the Australian Nursing and Midwifery
Council (ANMC) Professional Practice Framework, the ANMC National
Competency Standards for Enrolled Nurses, and all relevant Nursing
and Midwifery Board of Australia codes and guidelines. You will
provide safe, compassionate and evidence‑based nursing care to
patients and their families within the Scope of Nursing Practice
Decision‑Making Framework, under the delegation and supervision of
a Registered Nurse. The role involves monitoring and evaluating
nursing care, reporting changes in patient condition, family
circumstances or care planning, and promptly escalating concerns or
rapidly changing situations. You will identify common clinical
issues, recognise when matters are outside your scope of practice,
and access appropriate support and resources. Working
collaboratively as part of the nursing team, you will liaise with
patients, carers, colleagues, medical staff, allied health
professionals and external agencies to support coordinated
multidisciplinary care. Professional, respectful and courteous
communication is essential, promoting partnership in care. In
collaboration with the Registered Nurse, you will take
responsibility for ongoing professional development, participate in
research, quality improvement, practice development and
accreditation activities, and engage in emergency management
processes to ensure familiarity with organisational policies and
procedures.
