
We are seeking to establish a pool of Library and Administration Support Officers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 1, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The Role
The Library and Administration Support Officer will be responsible for supervising the daily operations of the library, ensuring the effective delivery of reference, information, and associated services to both teaching staff and students. This role plays a key part in maintaining a welcoming and well-organised learning environment, supporting the educational needs of the school community.
The successful applicant would administer library systems to ensure all records are accurate and up to date. This includes cataloguing resources, managing archives, and maintaining descriptor notes. They will also process and prepare library resources so that materials are consistently accessible to students, staff, and parents.
A strong customer service focus is important as the role involves assisting students, parents, and staff with enquiries and providing guidance on the use of library systems, computers, audio-visual equipment, and internet resources. The officer will contribute to building confidence in library use across the school community.
In addition, the role includes conducting library skills training, demonstrating the use of library equipment, and developing clear and practical procedure manuals where required.
