
School Of Special Educational Needs: Behaviour and Engagement (SSEN:BE) is seeking to establish a pool of School Officers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 3, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
SSEN:BE is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic School Officers to join our teams across the North and/or South Metropolitan Engagement Centres, subject to business needs. SSEN:BE Engagement Centres are located at the following sites:
North Metro
- Redcliffe Ave – Balga
- Heathridge – Heathridge
- Reid St – Bassendean
- Midland Learning Academy – Midland
South Metro
- Shoalwater – Safety Bay
- Dellar Road – Maddington
- Seville Drive – Armadale
- Winterfold – Kardinya

The Role
The School Officer would provide site-based assistance to the Manager Corporate Services by administering financial resources, assisting with month-end procedures and collating figures for financial planning and budgeting. Suitable applicants should also operate database, records and management information systems, travel and accommodation booking, record keeping of staff leave and creating and preparing materials for the engagement centre or associated sites.
Suitable applicants will ideally have previous experience in providing administrative support. They will ideally have experience with a range of software packages, particularly databases, spreadsheets, and word processing. The suitable applicants should have good interpersonal skills, with a strong focus on customer service and the ability to work both unsupervised and within a team environment. Occasional travel to other sites, as part of this position. Applicants may need to hold and maintain a current WA drivers' license.
