This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 3, 2026

Allendale Primary School (PS) is a proud Independent Public School for Kindergarten to Year 6 students, and our staff share a collective responsibility for providing every student with a pathway to a successful future. Our school is situated in the centre of Geraldton and our families live within Wonthella and surrounding suburbs.

Find out more about our school by visiting allendaleps.wa.edu.au or Schools Online.

The Role

Allendale PS is seeking a knowledgeable and dedicated Deputy Principal (Student Services) to join its high performing leadership team. This pivotal role requires strong moral purpose and an unrelentless commitment to put positive student outcomes at the heart of all decision making. At Allendale PS, students are at the centre of everything we do.

The successful applicant will be responsible for leading a culture of high expectations and the coordination of complex student case management, including the coordination of disability resourcing applications. Effective collaboration and communication with the Lead Education Assistants and APS Student Services Team are essential skills. In this role, the Deputy will also support both teachers and allied professionals to reflect on their practice and identify areas where performance could be improved.

Daily you will be required to engage productively with parents, carers and external services and lead our Positive Behaviour Support program. As an instructional leader, you will ideally regularly use data to analyse the impact of whole school approaches and make the necessary adjustments using a considered change management structure.

As Deputy Principal (Student Services), you will ideally use the Multi-tiered System of Supports (MTSS) model to manage student wellbeing, social emotional learning and behaviour support. A deep understanding of the science of learning and evidence-based programs will allow you to collaborate effectively with the Deputy (Teaching and Learning), working together to ensure Tier 2 and 3 intervention programs provide targeted support for identified students. Experience with explicit and direct instruction programs such as Spelling Mastery, UFLI and Prime Mathematics would be highly regarded in this process.
