The Role
Manjimup SHS has a fantastic opportunity for a strategic, inspiring and collaborative leader, to join a supportive team that promotes positive relationships between students, staff, parents and the local community.
We are seeking to fill the position of Head of Learning Area (HoLA) – Mathematics with a leader who possesses the experience, dedication and drive to maintain a culture of excellence in teaching and learning in the Mathematics learning area.
The Mathematics HoLA takes responsibility for the provision of curriculum leadership and management of the Maths teaching team. They will ideally be an expert classroom practitioner, possessing a passion for the subject and the capacity to embed quality teaching practice that supports the learning needs of all students.
The successful applicant should have leadership experience and the professional knowledge to lead the Maths team and curriculum delivery from Years 7 to 12. Experience in teaching, and leading others in the delivery of, Year 11 and 12 ATAR Maths Specialist, Maths Methods and Maths Applications will be an advantage.
The successful applicant will be a key member of the school leadership team. They will ideally share a commitment to whole school planning and review processes and contribute to decision-making regarding the school’s operation. It is expected that school leaders embrace the school vision and actively promote initiatives focussed on student engagement, student performance and quality teaching.
