About The Role
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced data and technology professional to provide technical leadership in the planning, development and management of data systems and datasets for the Public Transport Authority (PTA). This role is responsible for ensuring data systems are built, maintained and governed to the PTA’s standards of quality, while promoting effective service delivery through the application of IT Service Management processes, Service Level Agreements and Operational Level Agreements.
The position provides direction, guidance and technical expertise to others, leading the translation of user data requirements into robust system designs and solutions aligned with business and technology strategies. With a strong focus on business improvement, project delivery and operational effectiveness, the role contributes to business cases and technology projects, drives system performance enhancements, promotes knowledge sharing, maintains comprehensive documentation and continuity plans, and builds strong, collaborative relationships with colleagues, customers and stakeholders.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have: -
- Relevant IT qualification (or significant progress toward) or substantial recent experience in a technology role
- Strong expertise in data modelling, data mining, segmentation and end‑to‑end data lifecycle management
- Proven experience designing, building and supporting data systems, marts, ETL processes, reports and dashboards
- Sound knowledge of IT Service Management processes and customer‑focused service delivery
- Well‑developed communication, analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to translate data into insights

This is a Permanent opportunity. Applicants assessed as suitable through this process may be used to fill similar vacancies on a fixed term or permanent basis that may arise within the next 12 months.
