About the Role

VenuesWest operates a strong gymnastics program for children aged between 18 months and 10 years. Classes include Toddler Gym, Kindy Gym, Junior Gym, Primary Gym and Advanced Primary Gym.

We are seeking a qualified and experienced gymnastic coach to conduct and supervise the program for our young aspiring gymnasts across our venues at Perth High Performance Centre and Arena Joondalup.

The Kids Gymnastics Supervisor is responsible for the design and development of children’s gymnastic programs, lesson plans and timetabling. This is a hands-on role involving coaching, instruction and supervision of children enrolled in our program.

This is a casual employment, part-time opportunity offering minimum 15 hours per week at Perth High Performance Centre, Mount Claremont. The role may require mobility between VenuesWest facilities.

The Kids Gym Supervisor role currently includes the following regular work pattern: Tuesday: 8:45 am – 12:15 pm Thursday: 9:15 am – 2:00 pm Friday: 9:30 am – 1:30 pm.

There is an expectation of flexibility to provide cover on Sundays, where required, due to staff illness or unplanned absences. Noting that work patterns may change from term to term in response to program growth and increased enrolments. As additional classes open, supervising shifts may expand across Monday to Friday.

Subject to program growth, this role has the potential to progress to the full Kids Gym Supervisor role of up to 25 hours per week. In addition to delivery hours, the role includes approximately 2.75 hours per week allocated for administrative duties.

Due to the nature of the work undertaken, this position may be exposed to traumatic events in the workplace. We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive and hard-working team member to drive the Kids Gym Program and ensure fun-filled classes which promote increased confidence, coordination, fitness and gymnastic ability. The successful candidate will hold a KinderGym Beginner or Intermediate Coach Accreditation preferably from Gymnastics Australia.
