The Role
We are seeking a highly organised, proactive and professional Executive Support Officer to join our team and provide high-level administrative support to the Principal and Executive team.
The Executive Support Officer plays a key role in shaping the quality and consistency of the school’s written and published communications. This includes drafting high-level correspondence, reports and publications that reflect the school’s strategic direction and align with Department of Education priorities, policies and expectations.
The successful applicant should display the ability to interpret context, exercise sound judgement and produce clear, accurate and purposeful communication that represents the Principal, the school and public education to a high standard.
This role sits at the centre of the school’s operations, supporting the coordination of the Executive team and ensuring effective communication, organisation and responsiveness across a wide range of school functions.
The successful applicant will ideally play a critical role in:
- coordinating the day-to-day operations of the Executive team
- managing schedules, communications and priorities for the Principal and Executive team
- preparing high-quality correspondence, briefing notes and documentation
- supporting the work of the School Board
- assisting with sensitive and confidential matters with professionalism and discretion
- contributing to the planning and coordination of key school events and communications

- Demonstrated sound administration and organisational skills with considerable experience in the delivery of administration support services, including the ability to provide executive support to School Executives.
- Sound working knowledge and understanding of human resource and recruitment procedures and the Public Sector Standards.
- Demonstrated sound written, oral communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to liaise effectively with senior positions, internal and external clients on a wide range of issues.
- Demonstrated sound research, conceptual, analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to use initiative to identify priorities and meet conflicting timelines.
- Relevant experience in the use of personal computer software applications, including MS Word, Outlook and Excel, with the ability to produce reports from computerised applications.
