The Opportunity

The Department of Transport and Major Infrastructure (DTMI is seeking a proactive and detail-orientated Ministerial Business Coordinator to manage and coordinate ministerial, parliamentary, Cabinet and government business activities. This role ensures high-quality and timely responses and submissions, aligning with departmental and government objectives.

This opportunity is offered as a 12-month fixed-term appointment, with the possibility of extension and/or permanency, available for immediate filling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage the preparation of ministerial, parliamentary and Cabinet documents and undertake an initial review and quality assurance
  • Prepare complex briefing packages for the Director General and Portfolio Ministers, including for parliamentary hearings and contentious issues briefing packs
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with key stakeholders
  • Provide guidance on ministerial processes.
