This is a Permanent
Full Time appointment.
Whilst this selection
process will initially be used to fill the above fixed-term
vacancies, it may also be used to fill other "similar" vacancies
throughout the health service. In addition to this, should the
successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised vacancy, then
the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this
process. Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve
(12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the
recruitment decision. These can be permanent full time, permanent
part time or fixed term full time, fixed term part time
opportunities with the possibility of extension and/or
permanency.
About
Our Team:
The Child and
Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) in Western Australia
offer support, advice and treatment to children and adolescents
from birth to 18 years who are experiencing mental health
challenges.
The CAMHS
Eating Disorders Service (EDS) is a specialised state-wide
service providing assessment, consultation and treatment for young
people who present with symptoms of an eating disorder, and their
families. Our multi-disciplinary team provide inpatient in-reach
and outpatient intervention through various models of care
including Family Based Therapy (FBT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy –
Eating Disorders (CBT-E), Adolescent Focused Therapy (AFT) and
Multi Family Therapy (MFT). The service also provides multi-modal
parent focused education and support. The EDS offers an outpatient
day program, and state-wide consultation liaison with other CAMHS
clinics.
Our
multi-disciplinary team of healthcare professionals includes
psychiatrists, occupational therapists, clinical psychologists,
dietitians, social workers, and clinical nurses. We prioritise
knowledge sharing, and opportunities to work collaboratively and
learn with and from other disciplines, and we believe in lifting
each other up - as a team we support each other in terms of
professional growth and development, wellbeing, and job
satisfaction. Our consumer engagement and research program are key
components of our continuous commitment to ongoing improvement of
our services. The EDS is implementing a reform agenda and looking
for passionate staff to contribute.
About
the Role:
As a
Dietitian, you will support young people with
eating disorders and their families through evidence-based
outpatient therapy, group therapy, meal support and other clinical
services as required. The Dietitian provides clinical services
related to eating disorders to EDS outpatients, day and group
programs, and in-reach to the PCH wards. They participate in
development of the role of dietetics within the EDS through quality
improvement, and clinical practice with clients and families,
participation in research activities.
Your
primary responsibilities will include:
- Provide
evidence-based nutrition and dietetic services to patients in
designated areas
- Providing evidence-based
family, individual and group therapy for eating
disorders.
- Actively
participating in interdisciplinary case conferences and
clinical team meetings.
