This is a
Recruitment Pool for Permanent Full-Time positions working 76 hours
per fortnight.

Eligibility to
Apply: To be eligible for appointment, applicants must
have a valid working visa (for fixed term appointments) or be an
Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have a visa to live and
work indefinitely in Australia (for permanent
appointments).

Position
Profile: We are currently seeking dynamic and
enthusiastic individuals to appoint to Medical Workforce Officer
positions with the East Metropolitan Health Service. The primary
role of the Medical Workforce Officer is to provide comprehensive
administrative support to Medical Workforce at East Metropolitan
Health Service (EMHS). Duties primarily relate to the
administration of junior doctor rostering and leave, as well as
facilitating Medical Board of Australia registration and visa
requirements for all medical practitioners at EMHS. The Medical
Workforce Officer will assist in developing and maintaining Medical
Workforce policies, guidelines, and procedures. Key duties of the
Medical Workforce Officer include, but are not limited
to:
- Provide ongoing advice
and assistance to management and medical staff on human
resource, payroll and administrative matters in conjunction
with Senior Medical workforce Officers, Team Lead(s) and
Manager Medical Workforce Strategy;
- Liaise
with senior medical staff and heads of specialties and other
health services concerning rosters and roster changes for
medical officers;
- Ensure
all medical staff have appropriate qualifications, valid
registration and visa approvals to be employed by These details
must be maintained on doctor’s personnel records including on
the Human Resource Information System (HRIS), Junior Doctor
Data Base and Consultants Data Base.

Profile: The East Metropolitan Health Service (EMHS)
comprises an extensive hospital and health service network that
aims to maintain and improve the health and wellbeing of more than
670,000 Western Australians in its catchment area.
Our
hospital network works together to provide a combination of
tertiary, secondary and specialist health care services including
emergency and critical care, state trauma, elective and emergency
surgery, general medical, mental health, inpatient and outpatient
services, aged care, palliative care, rehabilitation and women’s,
children’s and neonates services.
The EMHS
consists of Royal Perth Hospital; Armadale Health Service; Bentley
Health Service; Mount Lawley Hospital; Kalamunda Hospital; St John
of God Midland Public Hospital and a range of community and
population health services.
This
position is based at Royal Perth Hospital (RPH), however
appointments may be made from this pool for other EMHS sites. RPH
is Perth’s inner city, tertiary adult hospital and part of the
Royal Perth Bentley Group. Home to the State Major Adult Trauma
Service, RPH offers tertiary-level emergency medicine, mental
health, complex and elective surgical care, and specialist medical
services. It is also a premier teaching hospital and contributes to
innovation and excellence in medical research and patient
care.
