We are seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to join our small and multi-skilled HR team. This role offers variety and breadth, supporting across a range of HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, performance, learning and development, and advising on policies, procedures and entitlements. It includes both operational, transactional processes and the opportunity to deliver value supporting managers to deal with complex, proactive and strategic people and culture matters. We are looking for someone with high integrity and energy, who is customer focused, proactive, curious, professional and a team player. Support and guidance to grow and develop your career is provided from other team members including a Senior HR Consultant and Chief HR Officer.
THE WORKING ENVIRONMENT
The Corruption and Crime Commission (the Commission) is a leading anti-corruption agency whose purpose is to strengthen the integrity of the public sector, reduce corruption, and disrupt criminal activity for the benefit of our community. Our approximately 140 employees are based in a modern office with a gym and end of trip facilities, conveniently located in the heart of Northbridge.
The Corporate Services Directorate ensures delivery of high-quality corporate support services to the Commission. This includes the effective and efficient delivery of human resources and work health and safety, financial services, and information management and technology services.
THE OPPORTUNITY
HR Business Partners support internal customers across our agency in the full range of HR matters across the employment life cycle. In this way, they support the agency to attract and retain a capable and engaged workforce and create a diverse and inclusive culture that enables organisational performance. You will gain exposure to a wide range of interesting and challenging roles at all levels This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on public safety and integrity. You will gain independence and autonomy and will be exposed to learning the diverse roles.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Partnering with leaders to deliver HR consultancy and advisory services and solutions
- Advising on HR policies, procedures and processes
- Leading or contributing to agency-wide HR initiatives and projects
- Providing guidance on employee relations and performance matters
- Supporting recruitment processes
- Building strong stakeholder relationships across all levels of the Commission
- Supporting a culture of inclusivity and engagement
PRE-EMPLOYMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE
The Commission requires applicants to be Australian citizens or be immediately eligible for citizenship, and appointment is conditional on satisfactory completion of pre-employment security screening Negative Vetting 1. This is a mandatory condition which includes checks applied to provide a level of assurance about the individual’s suitability to access Australian Government resources and entity-specific checks to mitigate security threats. We recognise existing or previously held security clearance issued by an authorised vetting agency at the level of Negative Vetting 1.
