The Goldfields Regional Education Office is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and efficient Cleaner to their team.
The Role
The successful applicant will ideally be organised, reliable and punctual and ideally have sufficient knowledge of cleaning equipment and safe cleaning procedures, methods, and practices. They will ensure that school facilities are cleaned and maintained in accordance with Department and occupational safety and health standards, training, and procedures.
As the Cleaner – Working Alone, they will carry out internal cleaning duties, including the maintenance of carpets and hard floor surfaces, toilet cleaning, furniture and fittings, window cleaning, dusting, rubbish removal, and other items of general cleaning. In addition, they will perform external cleaning duties, including the cleaning of verandas and covered areas, rubbish removal, cleaning of drinking troughs, window cleaning, removal of cobwebs, and other general cleaning.
The successful applicant will be responsible for liaising with the Manager Corporate Services on all cleaning matters, ensuring advice and support is current, relevant and consistent with the Department’s policies, training and procedures on school cleaning. They will also conduct monthly Cleaning Inspections with the Manager Corporate Services
