About the Role
We are currently seeking an Electrical Maintenance Manager to join our Electrical Contracts team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a progressive and dedicated group committed to delivering a safe, reliable and sustainable road‑based transport system for customers across Western Australia.
In this role, you will manage the maintenance component of the State‑wide Electrical Maintenance Contract, acting as the Superintendent’s Representative. You will ensure the Contractor meets all contractual obligations and complies with Main Roads’ specifications and requirements for both routine and reactive maintenance activities.
You will play a key role in auditing, monitoring and reporting on Contractor performance, providing specialist advice to contract, compliance and project teams, and supporting continuous improvement in electrical asset maintenance. The position also requires you to contribute to asset performance assessments and assist in the ongoing development of maintenance practices and reporting frameworks.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will bring substantial expertise in electrical asset maintenance, supported by proven experience in contract management and the oversight of maintenance activities delivered by external service providers. Your ability to review, interpret and analyse technical maintenance data and performance indicators will be essential.
Your talent for building strong, professional relationships will be invaluable as you engage with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, including local government authorities, service providers and transport portfolio partners. Given the scope of the position, your capability to research, analyse and problem‑solve will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and long‑term performance of Main Roads’ electrical assets.

- Construction and/or maintenance of electrical control systems and intelligent transport systems assets
- Western Australian Electrical Requirements (WAER), AS/NZ 3000, 3017 and 2019
- Managing technological, physical and other resources within agreed allocations to meet agreed outcome
- Evidence of possession of your current Western Australian ‘C-A’ Class (car) motor vehicle drivers’ licence or an approved equivalent.
